Ceramides

Ceramide NP

The mortar between your skin cells. Replacing them is how a damaged barrier gets rebuilt.

Ceramides make up roughly half the lipid content of the outermost skin layer. When that layer is depleted — through over-exfoliation, harsh cleansers, cold weather, or eczema — water escapes and irritants get in. Topical ceramides, particularly in the roughly 3:1:1 ratio with cholesterol and fatty acids, measurably restore that barrier.
